I notice there isn't a separate forum for the Savage 99 rifles. Is it lack of interest or lack of space?

Several Savage 99 owners here. Not a lack of intrest on my part I would be very interested in actual reloading and chronograph information from owners of 20" and 22" .300 Savage rifles.

My Cousin, in Washington State, had hunted with a Savage Model 99 in .300 Savage all his life. Got several Elk, Deer, and Black Bear with it using it's open sights. It was his favorite rifle.

I have one too and the question comes up from time to time. We just don't ever seem to hit critical mass for a Savage 99 forum. Maybe someday.....

I wanted one for years but never got around to buying one. A few weeks ago a friend gave me his 99 in .308. He just never shot it because he likes his other rifles better. I did pay him for the scope though. How's that for a shooting buddy? I'll be loading lots of rounds for it until it is really driving tacks for me.
