Recently I bought a chargemaster 1500 combo digital scale and dispenser on Ebay. I thought I could save 25 bucks since it was listed as new. When it came in it looked fine but didn't work properly. I tried to get the ebay seller to respond but to no avail. So, I called customer service at RCBS. The lady I spoke with politely told me to ship it to them with an explanation about what was wrong and my shipping address, no return shipping cost whatsoever. They promptly sent me a new Chargemaster. They were a pleasure to deal with, easy and polite. Really made me happy. I will not forget the way I was treated by RCBS. I also will not forget the way the Ebay seller treated me either.

My old shooting partner had his scale fail and they did exactly the same thing. Good company.

I've had similar service from RCBS. This service alone has guaranteed that they will earn my dollar in the future.

I had a RCBS press given to me, found under a buddies work bench in the back of his garage, after a little clean up, saw it was missing a few things- handle knob, primer seater and springs, primer catcher etc. Jeanie from RCBS knew the press inside and out, sent everything I needed to get the press up and running no charge. I've since called them concerning 38 spl & 44 mag dies to get their free upgrade kit, always nice and promt, still no charge. RCBS.... why not?

I too have received fantastic service from RCBS. Can't say enough about a company who treats all customers with respect and excellent service whether they are American or Canadian citizens. Forever an RCBS fan!!!:)

I had to go through four RCBS scale/dispenser combos to get one that worked right. No hassle from RCBS. They just kept sending them until I got the one that worked. Time consuming but they made it right. Like a previous response, my reloading bench is green and blue.

I had my Chargemaster combo for over 2yrs when it gave out on me. Call RCBS with the same results even after trying to explain that it was out of warrenty they said just send it in. They sent me a new one no charge.

Got a redding press along with the priming system and it had 2 small prime pins. also the Ball on the handle was chipped. the chip didn't bother me, but after a call to them I had both parts in 2 days from NY to Oregon.

Boy it feels good to do business with a company like RCBS. It's a shame that all companies don't treat their customers the way RCBS does. You better believe I will remember how I was treated.

I hope the RCBS "suits" see this thread because they have a jewell answering the customer service line. My experience is like that described above. Polite and personable lady who asked me all the right questions. A replacement part arrived in a few days. Excellent!

I would say we are generally blessed with more companies giving good service in the shooting industry than do in most. RCBS and Dillon and Lee all make good on any problem. If I had to pick one for the grand champ, it would be Dillon just because they've never asked me to return a broken item. They just send the new one. But I have no complaints about any of these companies. It is perhaps peculiar to the gun world that little guys are more likely to be difficult than the big guys, though some of the little guys are awfully good.

I have RCBS molds and their inconel-lined casting furnace and their lubricator sizer. Several of their dies have accumulated among my things over time. Of the tools I have, compared with other brands of similar objects, they seem to be just a cut above in ruggedness. The mold blocks were a little heavier and cleaner in form than my Lyman blocks. The lubricator sizer is heavier construction than my dad's Lyman. The furnace has a very effective thermostat and the inconel does clean up more easily than my steel lined Lee melters, which are the only electric units I've played with. RCBS may charge something of a premium on these items, but I have yet to retire any of them.

Same story with me at RCBS, I called them because I bought a set of .45 ACP dies from Sportsmans Whse. When I got home there was no seater plugs, When i called RCBS the gal just sent me a set of them no questions asked.

I'm sure you will get the same treatment that I did from customer service. RCBS is a topnotch company to do business with. They will treat you like you want to be treated.

I'm glad to hear all that favorable stuff. I'm looking to start in on the reloading thing, but I also own some ATK (RCBS' parent co.) stock, and if their products are doing well, that will result in better stock prices later.

My scale on my went haywire after a couple years. I called them up and told them that I wanted to find out how much it would run to get it fixed or should I buy a new scale for it.

The gal on the phone told me to send it in and they would send me a new one. I told her that I had had this unit for over two years, and she said ok send it in put a note in the box what it is doing and we will send you a new one. I sent it in and after 2 weeks went by called them again.

they appoligized for the delay because they were on back order but would get it out asap. I had a brand new chargemaster 5 day later. the only thing I paid was shipping to them.

:p Since We are sharing RCBS testimonials, I have one.

I bought a new RCBS manual case trimmer several years ago, and discovered a slight wobble in the shaft of it, which left rub marks on one side of the inside of the case mouths of the cases, and I tried changing shell holders and pilots. Also, I had this problem with any caliber, so I called into RCBS, sent it to em, and recived it back within a week or two (cant recall now) and it was wobble free. Even had a .30 cal pilot left in it, which I offered to return, but they said to keep, lol. But as a repairman Myself I know how it is for a tech to have to buy His own tools and LOOSE em.

Anyways, I have tons of RCBS dies and various tools (some old and some new). There is no doubt that they set the standard for reloading equipment quality and especially customer service! They have Me as a loyal customer for the forseeable future.

Short of going to a custom die maker, probably the best made all-around stuff is Redding, but you pay for that. They actually hand polish their dies on the inside. I don't know about their customer service because I've never needed them.

RCBS and Dillon both seem to get equally great customer service accolades. Lee has generally been good to customers, though I don't recall people gushing over their customer service quite so effusively as they do with RCBS and Dillon. Same with Hornady and the same with Forster. Apparently all good but just not going the extra mile the way RCBS and Dillon do. Sinclair stands behind anything they sell, as does Brownells, regardless of whether it is a store brand or some other.

I often think to myself that the reloading industry as a whole is the last industry left in America that really knows what "Customer Service" is and practices it. I just hope it never changes!

I prefer Redding dies above any others. So much so that I replaced my Lee 32-20 dies with Redding. Also have the Saeco/Redding 32-20 bullet mould. It annoyed me to no end that the bullet seating stem on the die marred the nose of the bullet, especially since it was their bullet.

I called them up and they said that the dies shipped with a round nose seating stem but they had semi-wadcutter and wadcutter stems available and would send them at no charge.

When you call RCBS a real person answers the phone. That makes it better. I've called them a few times for parts and they send them free.
That's good service. Lee has good service also. Had a mold that didn't
make bullets good and they replaced it at no charge. Lyman will send
parts when you call but put a bill with it and tell you to send money.
Had a Lyman tumbler that the bowl cracked. Could see where it was thinner than the rest of the bowl.No replacement but offered to sell me
one for a lot more than I paid for one from Midsouth.

RCBS is a wonderful company to deal with. I emailed them with a question and had a response the next day. They make great products and stand by them with a no BS warranty.

I have had a couple small parts break from dies and a kinetic bullet puller and each time with nothing more than an email they have sent me replacement parts without an issue. With the decapping rod that I broke they even sent me several extra sizing buttons that I hadn't really even needed. Most of my equipment is Lee, but the Green stuff I have I know I can count on excellent customer service.

I broke a decap pin. Called RCBS, and she said sorry, they don't make that kind of decap pin anymore. So, she sent me a whole new replacement inside neck sizer rod assembly, with the new style collet, and a half dozen new style decap pins. Just had to unscrew the old rod, and screw in the new. All FREE. :D:D:D:D

I only wish Bill Gates had some opportunity to see what customer service is!! Sorry. Lock this thread!

This must be the reason, Lee Jurras used RCBS . I sorely miss those days.
