View Full Version : Mystery tool
Can someone explain how this jewel works? It sure is a nicely made tool, I might need it if I just knew what it did.

I need to see what it looks like when open.
Does it have two plungers on one jaw, with corresponding holes on the other?
Could it be a tool to punch holes a special distance apart?

Was Winchester ever in the cigar business? ;)
I'll copy the picture to my dad and see if he knows what it is?

He was in the shirt business.

I think I sort of have it figured out. Here is another one I found with more views. The "plier jaw" looking end seats the primers. To size and seat bullets I think you have to unscrew the knurled part, insert the case and bullet and screw in back on.

Very interesting tool. If I had one, I'd get a belt sheath for it. Make folks wonder why I carried it and what it did:D.
The one you have looks to be in great shape.

It's not mine; it's listed on evilbay under bullet moulds if anybody is interested. Last I looked it was at $35 which seems to be a steal; I bet it won't go for that.
