I just bought Hornady's updated hand priming tool. I have their first model, which needed bushings to use RCBS shell holders and it was a bit of a hassle to change holders and primer sizes. The new one has a separate tray for use with RCBS shell holders.
I primed a few cases with it. It looks to be a good product, better than the old one and much better than the RCBS hand priming tool. I bought the RCBS when they first came out. I had nothing but problems with it. It sits gathering dust, it will probably go into the trash.
I have a Lee hand priming tool which I keep set up for small rifle. It also is a good product, but the Hornady is sturdier.
For someone who is buying a hand priming tool for the first time, I would recommend Hornady's new tool. It is also easier to change to different shel holders and primer size. Hornady thought this one out with the new tool.
I've spent a lot of money on tools, some work, some don't.
