I make a tool for reloading or shooting now and then.
Any other forum members here that make your own
tools or gadgets for your shooting needs?

A trickler:

Below, not really a reloading tool, but still a gun thang.
Nipple wrench:

Those are some fine looking tools you've made. I especially like that trickler.

Here! Here! The trickler is approaching........art!

That nipply wrench is finely crafted too. What's it for? (Fear not a display of ignorance, I always say, for revealing the alternative is too embarrassing) :D

Stretch, it's for getting the nipples out of your black powder guns, (so you can clean 'em).

Dean, that's some first class workmanship!

Here's a few things that I couldn't buy from the reloading world....a quick change mounting base for Dillon XL650.

Dean i have broke more nipple wrenches than i can count especially the ones made for revolvers! Yours is a fine looking tool. Have you considered making these for resale? oh by the way as mentioned the trickler is also a very fine piece of workmanship.

Great job guys. Kinda leaves my stuff in the dust but here goes.

Home made inletting and bedding screws. Just threaded rods for inletting and glassbedding. Keeps the bedding from getting up in the screw holes when your glassing the action. Also helps when you can tap the action out of the stock when set up.

Not exactly a shooting accessory, but sure helps when cleaning the hunting rig. I made aluminum tread plate pieces to go where the cardboard and plastic was on all the doors and places where there were trim on my little Suzuki Samari. You can just pressure wash it when it's muddy.

Home made lead sled. Welded this up from an old Jack and some scrap metal. Took about an hour and works great along with saving me a hundred bucks or more.

I made this shooting bench from an old exercise machine my old shooting partners wife was going to haul to the dump.

How about a set of shooting sticks from a couple of dowels and a piece of rubber tubing. Can't get much cheaper than that unless you cut some sticks from brush. The tubing is available for about 50 cents from most hardware stores.

Here are a couple of finished painted and ready to go coyote hunting.

Nice job all.

I've made a bunch of expanders over the years. Pictures of a few of them in the Tech Notes on the site.

Lots of 1911 stocks, and a few for revolvers.

Recoil it was just what fit the dowels at the hardware store. They had both black and clear tubing and I bought enough for three total sticks for about a buck and a half.

I wish this were my idea, but I stole it from another guy on the Predator masters forum. A little paint and your ready to go.

Thanks for the link Bob. It's a very cleaver idea regardless of who came up with it. I'm going to make a set this weekend. Thanks again

Pretty cool Rembrandt and great machining. So simple and so well done.

Bob, that's a pretty neat shooting bench. I see those same exercise machines at yard sales every summer. They all look brand new, too... I think I'll pick one up this year and follow your example.
I like your idea for an adjustable rifle rest using the scissor jack too.

Rembrandt, nice work! The slide in press mount looks slick as can be. Nice pistol stand!

Mike G, I read your article on expanders. Nice work and a good write-up. Took me a while to find it. For anyone else who hasn't been reading the forum for years, it's here:

Rembrandt, your work is on near-museum par. Excellent stuff! (<---- it's always good to use "commoner's" terms when speaking of another's art-work) :D

Bob, the shooting bench and sticks (like the abundance of aluminum-work on your reloading bench) is downright inspiring! If I had ready access (like out my back porch) to wide open fields, I'd probably try to copy your shooting bench, but alas, I don;t. I am going to make some shooting sticks though. They're ingenious. They're perfectly fittin too, price-wise, in today's economy!
