For those who do not visit the Barnes bullet web site much, Barnes is introducing a new bullet for the .458 SOCOM which is really nothing more than a semi-automatic .45-70. This bullet is a triple banded, polymer tipped boat-tail bullet that weighs 300 gr. It will expand down to 1,000 fps and should have a B.C. higher than the .305 listed for the .300 gr. X bullet, but the exact B.C. is yet to be determined.
While this bullet is for the .458 SOCOM, it will also be a fantastic bullet for the .45-70 in all its guises. Due to the boat-tail and polymer tip it will really help flatten the bullet's trajectory while maintaining downrange performance. There is only one draw back. It is not for use in a lever action rifle. For that you need to stick with the FN TSX bullet or the Hornady Leverevolution bullet. But for single shot rifles, pistols, or bolt guns that use bullets of .458 diameter, this bullet is just the ticket.

The deal is we must get ordered 25,000 bullets by March 31 and the minimum order is 500 bullets at .85 each. Regular retail will be upwards of $1.00 after this if this bullet comes to fruition. If we do not reach 25K bullets this deal will not go through and we will miss out on a great bullet for the .45-70 and like powered .458 caliber rounds. Here is a link to the details so please, if you think you might want some don't delay.

Please keep in mind the rule that Marshal has to approve all advertising before it can be posted. Since you don't specify who "we" are, I can't tell if this is a private group buy or is soliciting a purchase for a commercial entity?
