I just re-visited some earlier posts of mine relating to ‘seating a bullet off the lands’ and discovered these strange mysterious CHARACTERS, as exemplified in the following extract :
<o></o>
Shape a small hook at one end of a thin, stiff piece of wire – to be inserted into the enlarged primer hole and gently pulled to extract the cartridge from the chamber - rather than using a rifle’s more forceful ejection system which will possibly change the bullet’s precise position resting against the lands. <o>
</o><o></o>
Can anyone shed some light on their presence and how they can be eliminated ?
Cheers, Ross.

Change the encoding to Unicode UTF-8 and the proper characters will appear. You'll likely see new strange characters elsewhere in the text elsewhere, unfortunately. This behavior is due to a change of software after your example was posted. You change encoding in most browsers by clicking on View in the top line menu of your browser, then Encoding. Automatic should be your default, but you have to switch for some sites.

Bye

Jack, your blood's worth bottling ! Sincere thanks for your sound advice on how to rectify the presence of odd CHARACTERS in some of my previous posts. Helping each other by openly sharing our knowledge and experience is what it's all about. Well done.
Cheers, Ross.
