A state trooper pulled over a speeder, approached the vehicle and inquired just where the driver was going in such a hurry.
The driver explained he was a professional juggler and was late getting to a kid's party at the local hospital. The trooper thought a moment, then asked the man to prove he was a juggler and he would let him go with a warning. The driver explained all his equipment had been taken ahead by another member of the show and he had nothing left to juggle.
The trooper said that wouldn't be a problem, went to the trunk of his cruiser, fished out a half dozen flares, lit them and handed them to the man. He proceeded to put them all in motion and was juggling them quite nicely.
Another vehicle approached, pulled behind the cruiser and stopped. A stumbling figure staggered out, peered at the act taking place before him and lurched over to the back door of the cruiser and fell in. The trooper ran over to see what the problem was. A drunk looked back at him with bleery eyes and slurred "Might as well take me to jail - I ain't never gonna pass a test like that!"
