I have one of these I'm trying to sell so we can pick up something more for home SD. I don't hunt so the gun is only really a plinking gun. We put less than 100 rounds through it. What should I be asking on the price? I don't want to list it on gunbroker or something and get taken because I don't know what it's worth. I've seen prices all over the place but all different models. This is the blued, 16inch, no octagon barrel.
Thanks for any info you can provide to help me out :D

I bought this new, latest-production, BrazTech/Rossi 16" Big Loop .38/.357 (below) about 8 weeks ago for $460.
A week later in another gunshop, I bought it's twin - a somewhat earlier production LSI/Rossi 16" Big Loop .45 Colt, also new but NOS (New Old Stock) - that was on the dealer's shelf for over a year. I paid $360.
I would expect to pay less for a used rifle.

Cool thanks.
Here's a picture of this one. It's definitely one of the much older models. Has extremely nice wood grain. Is there any difference between the older ones and the newer ones? This one just says Amadeo Rossi on it.

What people are listing guns for on auction and classified's sites rarely reflect what they will actually sell for at a given time. Also, looking at completed auctions I haven't seen but maybe a couple over an extended period of time that sold and they were all stainless, much newer models or totally different guns with octagon barrels or some other options completely. I asked here because I exhausted every other place I could think of and had a really hard time nailing down a price. Figured I go to the horses mouth and find out what people are actually willing to pay for one. After all, a thing is only worth what you can actually get for it.
I respect that people ask these questions a lot without doing any research but I did quite a bit of research and am still stumped.
I came here because I figured I needed to find a dedicated rifle forum to find people that actually have BOUGHT these kinds of guns. I also posted in the rifle section of TFL's forums. I'm an avid forum surfer, lurker and poster and this is just the first time I've ever found this specific one. Sorry if I wasted anyone's time.

Hi Wes, I sent you a Private Message (PM) regarding your Rossi.

About 30 years ago I was given the advice that a fair used firearm price would generally be two thirds the price of a new one.
However, I'd say three quarters of new price to be reasonable for an as new rifle such as yours.
Sincerely,
Kirby.
