I haven't shot nearly as much leveraction this summer and boy it shows! I just got a Marlin 336 in 35 rem made in 1968 and I ripped off the scope bases and put a Williams receiver sight on it and went to the range. Boy am I rusty but it was fun! I got the sights zeroed in, now I just have to find the right cast bullet load for it. I know I still wouldn't be able to beat Rowdy but it would be fun to try!:D

The Cast Bullet Association has postal matches for you.
If you study the match results in the back of the Fouling Shot you will be amazed at the small groups and high scores being shot by some of the participants.

If you have a pistol caliber rifle here is a thread started by Beartooth forum member Ed Harris on a small game practical rifle fun match. This is a much more difficult match than you might first suspect as it requires both shooting skill and some reloading expertise to craft ammunition which is actually useful in a field situation. You need not be a member of the Cast Bullet Association to participate in the small game fun match which is at this point just a discussion among shooters.
