Just bought myself that Henry Big Boy in 45 Colt that I've been lusting after.

I'll be needing to change the sights as the original buckhorn and my tired old eyes aren't a good match.

The receiver mount or scope base mounted peeps require drilling and tapping, don't want to go there if I don't have to.

Been looking at tang-mounted peeps, but can't find one that specifically says it'll mount on the Henry.

Does anyone know if a tang sight for another make/model of gun will cross over to the Henry?

Yup. I emailed the folks at Henry and they recommended that one as well.

It requires a hole to be drilled and tapped in the tang, and I'm not ready to go there just yet. I'm going to try a Skinner that fits in the original dovetail first. I think the longer sight radius of a tang-mounted peep would be a big advantage, but between the expense and the installation, that's not gonna get done before deer season.
