I have used 300 grain hollow points out of my ruger 45 colt for deer hunting and thought about using semi wad cutters. Is the wide flat nose basically the same thing?

Hi, Jack:
  The WFN doesn't have the wadcutting shoulder and has a wider nose than the SWC. The wider nose gives it more smack.
Click on Bullet Selection, then .44 Bullets and compare the 250 grain Keith to any of the WFNs.
