Back in November, I put an ad in the trading post for my CZ 452 .22mag. I didn't really have a specific use for it, and I didn't like spending 7 bucks everytime I wanted a box of ammo. Well, it never sold.

I have since put a Bushnell Banner 3-9x scope on it, and boy oh boy am I glad it never sold! I shoot consistent sub .5 inch groups at 50yds with my best 5 shot group being 0.22". I have recently started practicing at 100yds, and my 5 shot groups at that range average around 0.7". I have shot one 4-shot group of 0.20" at 100yds, but I flinched on the 5th shot and the group finished at 0.9".

So, to those that nibbled at the deal but didn't bite, I say

THHPPPPPPP! You missed a great deal, and the rifle ain't for sale no mo'! :D

Way to go txpitdog!

Saved yourself from seller's remorse! :-)

And I really like the .22 Magnum cartridge. I think it is very underappreciated. Great article in the latest Guns&Ammo too! Expounding on the versitility of this old cartridge...

Enjoy! (Yay sure you don't want to sell that ol thing?

..does your gun like the best? Or have you only tried the one load...?

That is quite the shooter. I have one in .22 LR and it shoots very well.

I've only tried 3 different brands: CCI, Federal, and Winchester. My 452 shoots the CCI Maxi-Mag 40gr JHP the best so far. I pretty much quit trying different brands of ammo after sighting it in with the CCI. It's accurate enough to pop squirrels in the head at 100yds, and that is more than good enough!
