According to Numrich (www.e-gunparts.com), that's a Winchester model 94, basically.

Might see what you can find on their web site, or give them a call.

Mike,

The contracted Winchesters were post-64s, they had their own serial number sequence and production numbers are unknown at this time.

So, it's just basically a post-64 Winnie, right? Do you know when Sears stopped selling them? If it's before all of the cross-bolt safety and rebounding hammer stuff, that should let him figure out what parts go get.....

My sears mod. 54 (aka. winchester 94) does not have the cross-bolt safety nor the rebounding hammer. The beral is blued but the recever is a aluminum like color. The mag tube is only about 1/2 inch shorter than the beral. The metel band that holds the forhand stock on is about 2 inches wide. the but plate is a thin metel plate with a slite curve The only parts that look to be stamped not forged are the, loading gate and the carrier.
What years of the 94 win. were similer?

Someone correct me if this is wrong, but if it's a 94 that predates the cross-bolt safety and rebounding hammer, then your gun should be the same as pretty much every 94 made from 1964 up until, what, the 1980's? You've got the 'mystery metal' receiver BUT the rest of the parts should be the same - at least I've never heard of any differences till the safey and rebounding hammer came into being.

I suspect that it's not really any different than the 94's that were made 1894 - 1964 either.

Call Brownell's or Numrich - they will figure out what you need in a jiffy.

Mike,

I don't honestly know when Winchester stopped producing the 54 Model for Sears. I don't believe USRAC ever produced any for them, Winchester became USRAC on July 1, 1981. Something I need to correct though, is the brain fade I had in the above post. I said contracted, but was thinking of the Ted Williams Model 100, I believe there were pre-64 Model 54s made. Sorry for the confusion.
