Hi-
It looks like I may have messed up big time in my first attempt at gunsmithing! My .357 Marlin has been having trouble feeding since I bought it. It appeared to me that the lip of the carrier was getting caught under the next round in the tubular mag when operating the lever. When this happened I would have to remove the round laying on the carrier and give the next round a little push to allow the carrier to move upward. It didn't happen all the time but enough to be a real pain. I thought that by rounding the front top edge of the carrier off it would allow it to slip past the next round.
Unfortunatly the carrier now gets under the rim of the next round every time the lever is worked. Its as if there is something letting the round in the mag come back too far and causing the gun to jam.
Does anyone know what this problem might be and how I can fix it?'
Thanks
Kevin
