I'm going to be buying a .22-250 soon, mostly for coyote, and have been looking at the tikkas, CZ's, Howas etc. Does anybody have any experiences with the C Daly bolt guns? How are they for accuracy, fit, finish and overall quality? I've always liked the mauser action (whats not to like). Does anyone else sell mauser action rifles that reasonably priced?

I believe those guns are made on Yugo receivers, basically a '98 pattern.

Several different importers have brought in Yugo mausers in commercial rifles, Interarms notably.

I have Mark X ("Whitworth") mauser on a Yugo receiver. It's not a commercial FN mauser, but it's plenty good enough for what it is.

Hope to hear some other positive reports of the current guns.

Mike...just finished doing a little research. It seems the C DALY mausers have not been imported for several years due to trade restictions. The restrictions have just been lifted and shipping is to resume this month. They are built in Zastava, Yugoslavia. Suggested retail on the field model is $489.00 and for Supior Grade is $600.00. I don't know how they shoot but, man, is this thing PRETTY!

Mike, wasn't the Mark X a Santa Barbara Mauser? I had a Parker Hale built on (i think) the same action in 7x57. It was a fine rifle for the $$.

The Mark X was a name used by Interarms, I believe.

Interarms also imported them under some different names - example, mine is really considered a "Whitworth" but it's basically the same thing as a Mark X.

I believe that Parker Hale guns were that same basic action as well, not sure if the importer was also Interarms or it was another company.

Sort of like 'hardware store' brand shotguns, there are usually a few manufacturer and a lot of brand names. Sometimes hard to sort out.

If you pull the action out of the stock, it should say on the left side I think the country where it was made. That's how I figured out mine was a Yugo receiver.
