i want to convert a 700bdl in 7mm mag to either the 7 wthrby, 7x300wthrby or 7stw. using the same bullet for comparison, which hand loads could you get the highest velocities from. it has a 24" barrel, and i don't plan on changing it. i want to keep it simple. thanks for any replies.

I am pretty sure your only option would be the 7mm wby as the other two take magnum length actions instead of the standard length action of the 7mm rem mag. With handloads and equal barrel length, you wouldn't gain any noticable difference with the wby round.

First comes a bigger action and then comes a longer barrel, at least 26 inches worth to do the caliber justice.
