I have always wanted to try my hand at these critters, but never lived anywhere that I could hunt them, nor have I yet been able to afford a non-res hunt elsewhere. I appreciate any info folks, I will be moving to Alamogordo come June, really getting tired of these Egyptians.

Never heard of any to speak of.
NM does have several species of exotics that are legal game and controlled by the state. Go here for info and brochures: www.gmfsh.state.nm.us

I fully intend to put in for oryx and ibex. I lived there once before, but didn't get much time to hunt, and finances were very thin. I am thinking Colorado for antelope, at least I have someplace to stay for free, but everything else will be closer to home. Would really like to get a nice New Mexico black bear to go with my grizzly from Alaska.
Plenty of blackies in the Gila Nat'l Forest and Wilderness areas. Every time I go deer hunting there I usually run across a black or two.
Being a Non-res, I'll have to pass of the exotics - a little rich for my blood.
You have some of the best antelope hunting in the country over between Las Vegas and Raton - be sure to give it a look!

Welcome to my neck of the woods, Beeman. I live in Hobbs (across the state), and my brother lives in Las Cruces (just about 30 miles from Alamo).
Good News! Yes, there are ferals nearby! Up in the mountains to the west of Alamagordo, near Ruidoso, is a lake called Bonita Lake (Spanish for pretty). There is a guy there that runs a riding stable, I think his last name is Parker. Anyhow, he has dogs and runs a guide service that is reasonable. He will take you out for black bear or cougar (in season), or feral hogs (anytime).
Also, good luck in the Oryx and Ibex draw. I killed my lifetime Oryx 2 years ago - one of the most exciting hunts in my life - he tried to kill my escort! Haven't drawn out for Ibex yet, but I keep putting in.
And if you like quail and dove hunting, you are certainly coming to the right state. We have tons.
Again, welcome.

Thanks folks,
I had heard that there might be small numbers of pigs near Sunspot, and also Nogal Canyon. Will have to do some kicking around in the Sacremento Mountains.

Lots of hogs in the Pecos River bottoms from Carlsbad north. Hear tell hog hunters are welcomed on some of the farms.
Welcome to HAFB.
