I have a model 94AE Trapper in 357 Mag and I am thinking about purchasing the Bushnell Trophy Red Dot Sight for it. This is the 1x28 mm model that allows you to select between one of four reticles. Have any of you had any experience with this sight on a lever action or any other gun. The information I have gathered from various forums has been favorable. I would appreciate your input.

I cannot speak for the Bushnell but I have a Tasco 1-inch tube red dot on my .357 Trapper AE and I could not be happier. I have mine on a forward mounted weaver rail in the "scout" position and it is brilliant. My advise is to mount it forward, completely ahead of the ejection port. Also, get a 1-inch tube model sight, not the 30mm or large "can" types. you will like it.

Due to bad eyes I use red dots on all my rifles and like 'em very much.

I have two Bushnell red dots (I think one of 'em is the Trophy model) and have no complaints at all. I only use the red dot reticle, not the other 3 reticle choices. Works great for me !!

Cheers,

Carl

Put a Millet Red Dot on my Marlin 30-30 and WOW. Perfect for me. I think my eyes go cross when looking down iron sights.
