As one of the many Marlin orphans looking for a home I have visited several Forums in the last few days. After looking this place over I have come to a conclusion. This place is first class. I'm glad to see so many good Marlin people here but I am also impressed by the Beartooth people. As most of the Marlinites know I am in the process of starting my own ammo bussiness. Most of my ammo is going to cater to lever guns and hunting handguns. Now I admit I am some what embarressed but I'm not familier with Beartooth bullets. I would be interested in using them in some of my loads. How many of you guys are shooting them and what do you think of them? reflex264

reflex264,
Great to see you here! Hopefully we can carry on like before here at Beartooth forums! I'm trying to get in touch with some of the guys from Marlin Talk to get them over here. Marshall Stanton is welcoming us with open arms and we all appreciate that greatly. He is also open for suggestions and is willing to help us in our pursuits. Hopefully we will see more of the good guys soon! And I too agree this is a first class forum site! Many features here. Just wish I could have an avatar!

Good to see some of the survivors straggling in from the cyber-nukin' MT gave us :) :(
I'm glad to have found a place where I can still get current and relevant info for reloading this "thumper".

Reflex264,
Welcome, I've squatted here about a year and a half ago along with several other sites. There's a ton of info here and first class people.
Carwi,
Pateince, Marshall is working on it. Be Monday or Tuesday before we can possibly have some avatars.
Heard of some more MT folk over at www.graybreadoutdoors.com

Umm. Would that link be www.graybeardoutdoors.com (http://www.graybeardoutdoors.com), rather than graybread? I often have the same problem.

Now Jayco, Sir is what I call my daddy! I don't figure I'll get rich off of it but I've had guys for several months trying to buy ammo that is not even in production yet. Had to recruit them to be field testers and give it to them! You might have seen my post on the nickel cases. Got some going to the lab this week. I think I have it solved. Out of uncle Jim (my microgroove ) which always clocks a little slow the 350grs were running 1964fps which is going to be about 2000fps from most guns. I would have run them thru more guns but the weather conditions were horrible. I'll keep you posted. reflex264

Send a few of those 380's my way.A good brand.I will be your guiinnie pig.H-322 or Rl-7 and there good for close to 2,000 fps out of the Guide Gun.Of course without any signs of pressure.(an old Marlin joke)My guess and only a guess already shooting a very heavy jacketed bullet at 1900 fps at 405 grain, the 380 HVY could do 1950+ and be at 40,000 CUP.Never no.Yet who pay's attention to 40,000 CUP in the 45-70?Not Marlin or SAAMI.
Sorry had to throw that in.Jayco.
