Just (noon EST) got off the phone with Dave: the shop move is still happening. Good news is ... he's setting-up with lots more room.
He is presently spending his available (smithing) time finishing rifles going to planned hunts and magazine writers testing his products.
And, old jobs (like my two) ... "Which two?", you ask? ...

Dave's now finished converting my 1894 (.44mag) to a longer case capable of 350gr at 1800fps and, yes, that includes reliably cycling this longer ammo. In case you're wondering why I just didn't move to the .444Marlin ... I can also use this ammo in my Super Blackhawk :D
He'll be range testing next week. Should have it in-hand during March.
Will use:
Garrett long .44mag ammo (330gr Long-Hammerhead) for initial tests.
and,
Buffalo Bore .44mag ammo 305gr LBT/LFN ammo for hot .44mag testing.

The Win '86 conversion to 450-110DRC is almost done. This is a (Take-Down) wildcat of .458 Cal built on a necked-down 50-110 case. Should be able to (safely) get 2150/2250fps with 450gr.
Note: 2250/450gr is 5060 ft-lbs, i.e., 458WinMag territory!
Tim Sundles has developed 450-110DRC loads (for his 450-110DRC) - I'll be ordering my initial ammo from Tim. Got some custom Alaska Bullet Works 450gr FMJ w/ hard cast cores (built for a Botswana PH) used to cull elephant.

Good to hear that Bill, I was starting to wonder if I would ever be able to get another DRC Glove lever! I've been also toying with the idea of sending my Guide Gun back to him and having the take down feature added to the rest of what he's already done to it. Sounds like your going to have fun with the new toys! Good luck with them! CEJ...
