g'day dave and others (nice to see you've got some time off kamate),
sorry mate been really busy come this silly season. as of tommorow im off to see the world. well off to HK, France England, the states and Canada for a uni study tour and then branching off with some mates for some skiing in canada and then some touring round the states. i have to be back before uni starts so somewhere before 20th of feb. not really rushed, just go until the savings are no longer. i am sorely disappointed i wont be hunting over summer in oz but ill get back into the swing of things when i return. i too hope that your little expedition is a sign of things to come this year.
i had a wonderful xmas day too with the family thing in melbourne. eating, drinking and sleeping too much i can say i was guilty of.
i finally finsihed the works on my cz and it is ready for action, unforutnately i wont be for another 2 months tho!!!!
always ready for me when i get back.
i tried to attach the photos of my bourke but to no avail. in the reply box there is a little image which you can click to insert image but it only scrolls the whole way up to the top when clicked and does nothing else?? and when i go and try to attach to the reply it isnt happy because the files are too big?? i wont be able to post them now till i get back.
anyone catch the news tonight? my mate just got a part time job over summer working at another small airport near me in torquay victoria doing parachute ops (meat bombing) and he had an engine failure and attempted to glide into the field but fell short about half a mile and landed in the drink.
he's ok, came out without a scratch but a few bruises and very shaken up. he was also kicking himself well and truly for misjudging his glide. i guess we always learn from others mistakes, and our own. same goes for firearms and the like.
i will try and keep in touch and will be interested to hear stories hunting from back home while overseas in the cold, cold, cold, cold, cold and did i mention cold climates of the north.
cheers and keep happy and safe in the new year.
