Australia's Military Preparedness: One Man's View

Registered Users do not see the above ad.

I read this article a couple of years ago and recently found it again - I thought it would be well worth fellow Aussies reading it as it may spark some worthwhile discussion.

What follows is a submission to Australia's Defence Review Committee by Ron Owen, a well-known RKBA campaigner

http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a39af9cd96fa1.htm

Oh and don't forget to read the comments that follow the article, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

Then follow that up with this article ( http://www.users.bigpond.com/tonypitt/id42.htm ) from Tony Pitt which is a bit old now but actually lays out some interesting suggestions and observations. How many Aussies know that the WW2 "Brisbane Line" still exists as policy should we be invaded from the north? The premise is that the Govt would simply draw a line across Australia from just below Brisbane in NSW and surrrender everything north of that line to the invader. In light of that and the two articles above plus our current gun laws and the willful destruction of our 100,000 National Reserve of SLR's ( afterall, what did THAT have to do with domestic gun control - ask yourself! ) - it gives cold comfort.

It is my sincere hope that Aussies don't give up their natural inclination to question stupidity in Authority and renew their talent for crticial thought in light of world events and some of what has been stated above. Sadly much of our culture is much like any other western culture these days - ( too busy ) with head down in the feeding trough of consumer distraction and modern living to care about their imminent circumstance. Lest we forget ...

What do you mean, Wharf?

Most Australian's would know that Howard's biggest inspiration is Sir Robert Menzies.
You'd also be aware that Menzies was called "Pig Iron Bob" because he sold iron ore to the Japanese before WW2.
What a sad irony it seems that the person so enamoured of Menzies should be responsible for the degrading of our national defence against asian neighbours.

The deliberate gutting of a local smalls arms industry seems yet again to have little to do with domestic gun control which in turn has nothing to do with civil defense. The government agenda to be the willing test case for the UN leaves us wide open ... but don't get me started on that and Port Arthur.

Kombi - I know it's the choir I'm singing to in your case mate.

Gundownunder,

If you really want an eye opener, if you're ready for a paradigm shift and ready to take the red pill ... go watch this!

http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...q=TERROR+STORM

The Matrix indeed.

P.S ... Have a butchers at this quote!

Quote:
The Port Arthur Massacre in Tasmania in which 35 people were murdered and a "patsy" was set up and convicted followed this prediction: "In 1988 Australian newspapers reported New South Wales politician Barry Unsworth’s claim that there would be no effective gun control in Australia until there was a massacre in Tasmania."
Bingo!

Ok ... I used the confused emoticon because the thread was showing 30 views - I was sarcastically putting the confused there suggesting that surely if ANY Aussies had read the links they would have SOMETHING to say! Which is why I made the joke that Aussies must not have read it yet.
