45-100 peabody bp cartridge

Registered Users do not see the above ad.

The 45-100 Peabody cartridge was developed and derrived from the 44-90 Peabody. This is one of the earliest bottle neck cartridces that was made for the Peabody -Martini "What Cheer."Providence Tool of Plymouth Wi.Used the original prints and are now using the ..458,459 545 gr.Leeth snover style bullet.Working with Hornady engineers, and Pacific Tool engineers, chamber reamers were made and recently the die sets were delivered.Testing shows 1475 to 1525 fps in the new Peabody Target rifles.Earlier tests in EauClaire Wi,withBill Flanagan,Tom Bates,Tommy Auger. were holding good groups at 600 yds, 27deg. temp, and 25mph head and cross winds. All were astonished!Let off and blowback were equal to the forces of the 45-70.1475-1500 fps. was showing on the chronie.Providence is now re-chambering as a service for the Sharps owners, also are converting a Ruger #1 405 Nitro express to the 45-100. a run for the money

This cartridce is a sure hit for long range, and will give the high performance over the Sharps straight walls, over and including the 45-120.
