That will vary with the club. There are usually 10 rounds fired from two hand guns, either 9 or 10 rounds fired from a rifle and any where from 4 to 10 rounds fired from a shotgun, per stage. Again, depending on the club, some will shoot 4 stages in a day, or some clubs might shot 6 stages in a day. When our club has it's annual shoot we shoot 5 stages the first day and 5 stages the second day. A stage is made up of usually up to five targets for handguns, up to 10 targets at a different distance for rifles and as many as 6 targets for shotguns. The targets are shot in a different sequence at each stage. The shooters are told as a group what that sequence is and how the targets will be shot, then the shooters line up at a loading table to load their handguns and rifles. They advance to the firing position one at a time as called bringing their two handguns, the rifle and the shotgun with them. They lay their rifle and shotgun on a table near the firing position unless one of those weapons will be used first. After shooting the sequence the shooter will go to the unloading table are remove the empty brass from his handguns, another shooter at that table will check his guns to make sure they are not loaded before he leaves to place his guns back in his gun cart. Simple as that. At my clubs shoot you would use 60 rounds in your handguns, about 60 rounds in your rifle and somewhere between 20 and 40 shotshells to shoot 6 stages.
