Help with 1873 Colt parts

Hi All, I'm a newbie here from Australia and I require parts for my ASM 45 1873 Gen 1 Colt, any ideas where I can source these from, BTW I have tried a dealer in the US, paid my money and have not heard from him or recieved the parts I need, poor show really, so I need a reputable dealer, thanks all

If the ASM is a clone, then parts for a Colt may work. Brownells sells both factory Colt and reproduction parts. They also are an exporter and a reputable company.

I did not check their selection of 1st generation parts, but there is a good chance they will have what you need.

Thanks mate

I have had a look and the bit I really need is the tiny screw that goes in under the frame and locks the cylinder pin or rod, it is a 1st Gen ASM copy, there is one dealer I sourced this from plus other spares, I paid $100 via paypal on 27 June and as yet no parts delivered and he won't reply to emails, I may shame and name him if he fails to reply and provide a decent answer to my enquiry.

The last time I ordered parts for an ASM 1873 Colt clone, I contacted VTI gunparts (www.vtigunparts.com). I don't see the base pin screw that you've described on your first gen ASM, they show the later model spring loaded base pin screw and nut, but you can certainly email them and ask.

Other sources for your part (not made by ASM but may fit since it is a copy) are: Cimarron Firearms and Uberti USA. Hope one of them can help.

I was dealing with Colt Parts, run by Dean Wagstaff in Vancouver, Washington State, he has not responded but has my cash, any one else dealt with him and offer any comments
