[ NO, I've known him for 17yrs and never heard him mention God in a loveing way, no, he's not a Christian. I did talk to him a little about God last night
Good work, keep it up. I know it is scary to talk to some people because you may expect them to outlash at you,but be bold, he is probably hoping that you will exactly do that. I suggest that you tell him that you do not want to go to his funeral and wonder where he will be for eternity. I would mention perhaps Acts 2:21, "Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." I also like to mention the story of the two robbers on their crosses next to Christ. One asks Jesus to remember him when he comes into his kingdom and Jesus assures him of salvation. It is a story of "it is never too late".
I hope to have this talk with my father-in-law soon myself. He has bladder cancer.
May God give you the words to speak, that is my prayer.
