Hunting Buddies Oct. 13,14 2007

Once again I helped guide for The Hunting Buddies program this year.

As always we start the day with a hearty breakfast at the Village Inn in Craig. If you happen to see us there, come on over and say hello.

This year was a little tough, because the elk hadn't moved in yet and the weather was not cooperating but we did manage to help our hunters get fine animals. Here's some of the elk we encountered over the weekend.

The second herd was not at all cocerned with our presence as there were no legal bulls and they knew they were safe. plus it was raining buckets at the time.

I love it when they die next to the road.

Ed's bull proved to be a little harder to get to but after some dragging by Kevin and I we got it close enough to a place to load in the truck and get pictures.

A fine job you're doing there RJ. That sure is a pile of elk in those two herds. From the pics, looks like there's plenty of feed to make those elk tasty.
