new trail camera
I got a new infer-red moultry trail cam for this year. It doesn't eat up batteries like a flash does.
Lots of hogs at night with does, fawns and yearling bucks daytime.
It gives the date time and temp and moon phase.
Lotsa pics of 97-98 degrees in the evening with deer on the feeders.
Seeing the fawns is a good sign. Lotsa doe are carrying two fawns.
Are you guys starting to get fired up like I am!
Be safe

While I don't know any better, those look like rotiserie size pigs! And a lot of them. At least if I plugged a couple, that's what I would try with them!

Great Pic's
Lots of info can be gained from trail cam pics. Especially, herd size. Always great to see fawns also.
I have a regular flash trail cam and it absolutely eats batt's. Pics come out great and trigger speed is good,but........
I'm seeing pics of the large bunches of hogs also. So far I have taken only the larger ones but I suppose it's time to start thinning the herd. With hogs you really gotta stay on top of things or they will over feed the deer. You gotta take 50% of the total herd every year just to maintain the herd the same size.
Good huntin'. -----pruhdlr

Hey Chief, I spelled it wrong. I think it is Moultrie. I paid $198.00 at Academy. That was the cheapest infrared camera I could find. I like it and its easy on batteries. They also give you the attachments so you can plug in with one of those small screens used to check the pictures. Also has a lazer light that you can aim to get the picture centered before you set the camera. No big bucks are showing up yet but that doesn't surprise me.

Ken. Check your PM, Shawn, rotisserre (sp) is right. 50 lbs or so. Also got pics of some big ones. but l'm going to move the cam to a different location on an area I've never hunted. There are some big deer tracks going under a fence both directions and the infared (sp) light won't spook him. My spelling has gone to heck anyway I want all those pigs to move to the pasture North of me for the Hog Whisperer!

Here's a few more and then I'll stop.
This was kinda funny.
In one pic, there's a little coon under the feeder with a big hog moving in, and then a few minutes later, the hogs gone but the coon ran up the feeder leg and hanging on for dear life.
Hope you guys aren't too board, I love to see all wildlife pics.
Tom

I got a trailcam for Christmas last year but the only time I have used it was to prove to my neighbor that his worthless dog was the one getting in my garbage. I emailed him a picture of his dog turning over my garbage can taken with the trailcam. I inserted a large arrow pointing at his mut with the lable, "DEAD DOG". Have not seen the dog since.

Send all the pic's you want, Tom - we enjoy seeing the wildlife. The buck might develop into a nice 6 or 8 point.

The spotted boar will look good on the wall of your trailer, Tom. Be sure and shoot him for me
Hang that coon tail on the feeder, as a warning to others!

What we are getting now are 1/4" rains every two weeks. Not good enough to fill ponds and do some real good. We're hoping that the rains from the latest hurricane makes its way up here.
