I got this one years ago when I borrowed a friends. The things had just got popular and he was working on building them using door bell servos for pushing the button. This one was a factory made job and way out of my price range. It was exciting to see what was roaming the property. It will be just exciting now.
It does. It was tpv that peaked my interest. It has the disply at the bottom that gives date moon phase temp time and such. It is really neat. They are running at about $200. I usually don't have extra cash but I worked some overtime and I just had to have one. I was going to get that SKS but they have gone up to $300 around here. The camera will probably be more useful anyway. I like to see whats going on while I ain't around and the no flash should cut down on theft if it is quiet.

Hey, anytime I can help folks spend their money and help the economy, I'm, all for it.
I still like mine.
I want to shoot another pig and drag it out in the middle of a mesquite flat, stake at down and put the moultrie camera on it. I think it would make for some interesting pictures. IN fact, this week-end, I'm trying it!
I'm looking forward to pics too Chief! Coincidental that you mention the theft possibility, as I've always been a bit concerned about 'unwanteds' showing up at our elk camp when everyone is gone out hunting, and have considered getting a game cam to set up in a tree around camp to capture any possible thieves.
Yea, that was Steve. Glad he wasn't doing anything obsene.
I've had the same batteries in this camera for three months. The old camera with regular flash would eat them up in a week.
Pretty good way to justify the extra cost.
does an SD card come with it? I have a card in my camera and a spare 16 meg card. I guess I need at least a 1 G card if I leave it out for a week. What have you found?
Mine didn't come with a card. but you can get a a 256 (mb or something) card for about $14.00 at Wal-mart.
I thought that picture of the guy driving by was a very good picture where the camera reacts to motion quickly. also I had it on low resolution so I was well pleased with it.
Good Luck, are you guy's neck swelling up yet, mine is!
Here are the pics from last night. Only rabbits. I pulled it in. I will get some more next week. I love this thing. The info bar at the bottom of the picture is cool. This is on the lowest resolution setting. I think I will go highest on the next ones.
That's pretty cool Chief. It must be pretty sensitve if a wabbit can set it off. It would be neat to have one to set up on a couple elk trails I hunt by.
She did not show up while I was there this morning or this evening. Maybe in the morning. She did not get to be an old doe by roaming the food plot during the day. I may never see her. I would like to see the youngsters.
