Nicest Looking Gun Contest
Post a picture of your pretty gun; judges will be readers of the thread, with ongoing nominations as the thread evolves. Let's let the contest begin officially when we have at least five entries; but vote as you go!
We can have categories as needed, example ,handgun, rifle, shotgun, smokepole etc.
You may certainly vote for your own!
Have Fun!
Look for another thread "Ugly Gun Contest"-which I expect to win, along with any ugly leg contests, I am the ongoing champion for many years.

I'll start it off... I know it won't win against the folks on this forum but here's my nicest looking gun...
I'm working on putting on a checkered steel buttplate and cutting a shadow-line on the cheekpeice. I've already re-bedded the rifle to fit a new barrel and action screws, so it should turn out well once completely finished. What started out as the first project I ever did with re-stocking a rifle is turning into a project rifle for adding fancier touches.

It's a Marlin 980S. Now it has a stainless fluted bull barrel. It's pretty easy to re-barrel the Marlin rifles with 10/22 aftermarket barrels.

Don't own many, and this pair was NOT mine when I evacuated (Katrina). Was working on picking the lock on the case as the onwer had lost the key some years back at the time, so tossed it in the car when bugging out. Not power houses....but if youy like black powder, these will either be very pretty, or butt ugly.

Dawgs, Faucett, that's one of the best looking stocks I have ever seen!
Thanks for posting it!

Very hard to pick a favorite, but Faucett's rifle has my vote for rifle,
and jwp has my vote for revolver.

Here is my entry:
I can't tell you the caliber because I have seven of them setup the same way (just different calibers.) I have two more that were bought before the thumbhole stock was an option.

My current best looking rifle is my Kimber Of Oregon Model 82 Series "S" in .22 Hornet. Shoots as good as it looks!

My Savage 22-250
Here is my Savage 22-250 with the monte carlo stock and .308 in camo I built, not the best looking rifles in the world, but I think they turned out pretty nice. Plus they shoot like a house on fire. Love the monte carlo stock and SS bull barrel, great target gun, weighs a ton. Built the .308 to be a lite carry rifle and it is, kicks like mad mule.

Upload your images to photobucket.com and that will allow you to post a link to them at full size resolution.

How do ya'll get such large pictures to upload, I used photobucket but still wouldn't let me upload anything larger? I find it much easier to work on a firearm than this crazy computer.

JWP475,
There’s sure something esthetically pleasing about that revolver. The classic grips, as well as the obvious rework done….very impressive. One of the best looking revolvers I’ve ever seen. I can't imagine anything that would improve it's appeal other than change of ownership
