Borescope for 22 caliber

I did a google for borescopes and could only find the smallest is 25 caliber, including the Hawkeye.

Understanding there may be a limit to how small a light pipe and collector you can have, is 25 caliber the smallest anybody has seen?

I have a 22 cal barrel I think has a patch of rust in it. I also want to play around with one for the rest of my rifles and my Pa, who has a few he wants to look at too.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hawkeye has has a small one. I own it and inspect my AR barrel with it periodically. No rubbing, no chafing, no problem. Call them and ask which model you need?

P.S. It's called the Slim Kit. The inner tube for straight forward view (looking down the tunnel) is .165" (small enough for .17 cal) and the 90 degree first surface mirror sleeve is 0.188" OD, which is still small enough for the ruger .204.

Huh, I missed that one on their web page. Thanks Nick.

Thanks again

I hope this works:

http://www.midwayusa.com/Search/Defa..._1-2-4_8-16-32

If not, type "borescope" into the search bar at MidwayUSA and the page I'm trying to link you to will come up. The Hawkeye 22" slim focusing kit listed on that page says its O.D. is 0.165".

Tangent: Why in the world are these things so expensive? I'd love to have a borescope, but well over $1,000 is just insane for a simple light pipe and mirror.

Best investment I ever made - back when they were on sale at Midway for $475!

Hawkeye is a bargain. I've seen long flexible video borescopes rent for over $400 a day.
