Bank of America vs. McMillan

I didn't see this posted (may not have looked hard enough) and maybe this is the wrong forum... but:

Basically, Bank of America told McMillan that they didn't want McMillan's business because they were in the firearms business.

Snopes currently has this as "undetermined" but McMillan's Facebook site has been chronicling their issue (first hand reporting): http://www.facebook.com/McMillanGroupInternational

I don't currently do any business with BofA (that I know of) but others may.

This is the May 3 post by McMillan on that Facebook page (it's a public post, you can probably click on that link and see it without an account):

He scheduled the meeting as an “account analysis” meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories.
At this point I interrupted him and asked “Can I possible save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer what my business.”
“That is correct” he says.
I replied “That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won’t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?”
“You have to do what you must” he said.
“So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?”
Mr Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing left for him to say.

I think it is import for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms should know when a business does not support these rights. What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don’t agree with a business’ political position I can not in good conscience support them.

McMillan has also posted that they will no longer accept BofA credit cards for any purchase.

Citibank and BofA are not the most stable banks in the world.

Chase used to be sound but with their latest $3 billion fiasco don't know about them anymore.

In Calif your best bet is Wells Fargo Bank.

Fox and MSNBC are two opposite sides of the same coin, equally extreme in both directions.

I will occasionally listen to each one, with a grain of salt in either case.

Generally I will only trust PBS and BBC.

how can you compare those two networks as the same? They are the only ones that reported on the story isn't that what you are doing?

PBS is one of the most liberal leftist propaganda machines there is, from the shows for children right up to the adult. Listening to them is like going to Canada for news on a site run by a communist. I use to be a PBS supporter for $100s per year, no more.

imho, Fox News is one of the most balanced middle of the road there is, MSNBC is a leftist joke.
