Make of cannon

Hello everyone
I just purchased a naval cannon at a local gun store. I tried to download some pics but could not.
The barrel is cast brass 21" long. 2 3/4" diameter at the muzzle, 3 1/4" at the rear. Very heavy. Unfired, touch hole is only partially drilled and not all the way to the chamber.
Has u s and an eagle that was cast on top as an integral part of the barrel. Looks hand stamped on the bottom "black powder only". Very heavy, i would say about 40-50 pounds overall. Large oak carriage with the normal naval carriage steps in the rear and solid wood wheels?
Would like to know who made it, where made and what price they usually sell for. I paid $375.00 for it.
Thanks

Sounds like it would be a nice piece for a yard decoration. And maybe for popping a few blank loads on the 4th of July!

What is the bore size on that? Smooth or rifled? Rough drilled or pretty nice?

Maybe a photo to these guys can get you some info:

Sounds like a decorative cannon to me. Since the flash hole is not fully drilled it may not have been intended to fire. Please be very careful, a good friend of mine lost a nephew because someone decided to pop a few blanks off in a decorative cannon. Not sure about yours but a similar one was used and was never intended to be.

Not for muzzleloaders or for any firearm intended for your personal use, not sale or transfer to someone else.
