40-X Bore Cleaner?

I bought some Remington 40-X Bore Cleaner and it does a fine job of removing light leading and shining the bore. BUT, I wonder if it does too good a job for long term use. Does it contain a polishing grit like Flitz to get the job done??? I could not find any detailed info on Remington's web site.

Many of the "grit's" used in the bore cleaners are actually a polishing compound that is designed to break down as it is used into finer and finer particles. The copper being a softer material than the chrome moly steel used in gun barrels is removed long before any bore wear can happen.

And todays barrels are much smoother than past years as many mfgr's use the hammer forging method of rifling now.

I use it and like it and the label has specific warnings to keep it in the barrel and away from the "action" so to speak. So it must contain some abrasive that is good for the bore and bad for the action.
