It may be that it can be reshouldered, rethreaded, and rechambered to fit the mauser. Lathe and expieriance required.

Thanks, for the sound advice. I don't have a reliable gunsmith I trust at this time. I know there are a few around. One young guy in the gunsmith shop (I don't think he was the gunsmith proper) told me I had a standard mauser thread on this barrel, but I didn't find him reliable. Noone ever says "I don't know" on account it damages their pride, I guess.
I found a website that had enlarged blueprint style drawings of the various thread patterns of a number of popular rifle actions, I looked at that site a couple of years ago but somehow I lost the address, and now I can't find it.
Thats what I would like to have here, but all suggestions are appreciated.
