Changing from blind box to magazine

I've been kicking around changing my blind magazine Savage (laminate wood) to a regular box magazine(single stack) like from Accuracy Int. 5 or 10 round in .308 size. Does anybody have the exact dimensions(width/length) of this magazine? I was either going to utilize the 300WSM blind stagger stack box as a guide and modify the lips, and mill a bottom plate etc. Or since I have the existing box surounded with Devcon bedding, work from that. I hate to buy a $70-$80 magazine and have it not be workable. If anybody is shooting the Accuracy magazines etc please let me know. Triad Tactical sells the magazines if anybody else is looking for spare magazines etc.
Thanks

Well I decided to just make some magazines and bottom plate. Went to Lowes bought,16 guage metal, aluminum U channel, aluminum flat 1/2" and 1.25" width and various thickness. Tools needed tin snips, Dremmel tool, vises and clamps. Bottom plate 1/2 done. Aluminum will be anodized when all finished. A shop will do for $40. I made 2 - 5 round single stack magazines for 6.5 creedmoor. They work great. Still modifying the stock. I'll post pics when done.

Well, that's ambitious. How are you working out the feed lip shapes?

I studied pics of a single stack 308 magazine, and where the lips cradled the shell. The shapes were made by carving an end of plywood and using a rubber mallot very gingerly. When I estimated the size and bent the first prototype, I loaded a shell and slipped it up into the blind magazine area(the action was off the stock) and seen where the bottom half of the bolt was just skimming the lips and still solidly pushing a round out. This depth also marked (at the bottom of the existing blind mag) the exact ending point for the aluminum channel. This acts as the new magazines stopping point. Sideways is being done by a bottom plate recessed into the laminate wood. A spring loaded L shaped piece of aluminum is my mag holder in place. Too complicated to write I'll post pics soon. I used shipping strapping metal bent in Z shaped intravals to create my spring for the follower, and flat alumium with countersunk nut to bolt strapping metal and follower. All is made so I can remove only 2 sheetmetal screws(front and back of mag) to remove the U channel and pull follower out. Sorry I got long winded.

Dremmel tool setup for brushed circular effects on the aluminum channel.
