mossberg 535 cycling problems

Registered Users do not see the above ad.

I have a 535 and it is starting to give me problems cycling up the next shell.. It ejects just fine but sometimes I have to pump it 2 or 3 times to get the next shell up. Any thoughts as to why? It is only about a year old and maybe 100 rounds through it....Thanks..

Is the forearm tube dented or more likely dirty causing the shells to hang up? I bought a 535 when they first came out and its aways been 100% reliable.

Had a similar problem with an 835.

Forgot to mention the cartridge stop and the cartridge interupter may need reworked or rebent, this simple act has solved many shell droping problems on lots of Mossbergs 535, 500, 590, 835.
Is the forearm tube dented or more likely dirty causing the shells to hang up? Like BSN I thought of that to in the end I got a newer better spring from brownells. The old spring would bind and bite into the mag tube and spuractically add to the droping shell delema. I lightly honed the tube with emerycloth on a broom stick and put in the newer better spring and wallah not more problems. I got a new follower too, just caused, it worked with out though.
Hope this helps. So far it has worked on 2 mossbergs that I know of? Maybe you'll be 3+?

#11 and #12 on page 29, slight tweekage on those two to send the tips more slightly inward to catch shell instead of dropping it. Just fixed a 535 today doing that! Less is more, tweek and test, it is trail and error or you could buy new and....
