I recently picked up a xp 100 at a garage sale. The price was very cheap, because it was missing the bolt. I bought it as a parts gun, I have had an xp for a number or years. Does anyone have any idea where I could find a bolt. The chambering is 7mmbr, so it would take a .308 bolt face. I know that the remington model 600,660 and 7 are suitable replacements. I saw one bolt for an xp on ebay, but the bolt face was .223. Thanks for the help.
If a used bolt is not able to be found a call to Remingtons custom shop may be your only hope. Bad part there is the garage sale find might not be "cheap" anymore!! You will just have to get a price from Rem. and weigh it against the going prices for XP's. They aren't getting any cheaper!! I would be interested in what Remington would have to say about a replacement bolt. You never know...it could be outrageous or you might be pleasantly surprised.
I have an XP bolt...but it's not for sale...and fits quite nicely in my custom shop 7mm-08!!
Some Bench-Rest supply shops have custom bolts for XPs because their actions are many times used for Bench Rest rifles.
