Relining or rebarreling Broomhandle

Registered Users do not see the above ad.

Has anyone had any experience with a gunsmith that can reline the barrel on an 1896 Mauser Broomhandle? I have found several ads that make good claims but would like to have someone refer me to someone that will really do a good job. Mine was made in 1914 and has been reblued but is in very good condition with a very good blue job, (done about 1960) but the 30 cal barrel is in bad shape. The ads I have seen say they can change it to 9mm, but it appears that the barrel would be awfully thin when it was done. Any opinions or referrals would be appreciated. Thanks

Never have measured the outside diameter of a 9mm version...would be good if anyone out there with one would post that diameter. Know there isn't enough viusal difference to tell the 9mm from the .30 if one is sitting in front of me.
