I have read alot of posts about 45 colt cylinder throats being under size and the barrel having a tight spot where it threads into the frame.

I was curious if the 357 in either the BH or Vaquero suffered from the same problems or if it is a much better fit and finish in these respects. Thanks.

Most handguns of all calibers have some amount of constriction where they are threaded into the frame. I've cured several by firelapping them. About the only way you can tell for sure is to slug the barrel. Cylinder throats may or may not be tight. You have to measure them to see. This problem is not caliber specific.

I'd suggest one of Marshall Stantons firelapping kits for any center fire handgun regardless of the caliber. I've not seen one that didn't have an accuracy increase by fire lapping.

Years ago, I went away from 45 long Colt in a Colt SAA because of the undersized chamber throats issue. I have never run into that problem with a 357 or a 44 mag or Spl., since. I have run into one 44 that had a barrel that was tight in the threads area. The only way to know is check.
