Go Ruger! Have had lots of Smiths, Taurus and Rugers. If paper punching, mostly light loads then all work. If you want thumpers there is no comparison, Ruger hands down. I have a Security Six, action job, bead blast blue job and Pach grips, it is beautiful, smooth and tough. I shoot a lot of hotter loads and it just keeps on rockin!

Wow... I had no idea that SG was so much new... I guess I will clean her up and go to the next gun show
and see what I can get for it.... I will price the s&w and the Ruger w/o a trade and see where I stand...
