Issue with Cast Performance Bullet Company

Registered Users do not see the above ad.

I ordered 200 .452 300 grain gas checked bullets from their web site a few weeks ago. They shipped immediately, and I received them within a few days of order. The quality is good, and I was pleased.

I ordered 200 .452 300 grain gas check bullets, as well as 200 .452 265 grain gas check bullets and 200 .458 405 grain gas check bullets on the 24 of March. I immediately received an e-mail message that the bullets will be shipped immediately. I had not received the bullets as of the 1st of April, so I sent them an e-mail. They failed to respond, so I called their customer service number (on my nickel). I got an answering machine, and they haven't called me back.

Am I being a type "A" personality, or is there something fishy going on here? While I'm pleased with the quality of their product, I'm underwhelmed with their customer service.

Has anyone else dealt with these people? If so, what are your experiences?

TIA,

Mark

I have dealt with them a few times. Never had a problem. In a couple of phone calls I got the feeling that their customers service people are also making the bullets. Typical multi tasking business. Keep trying on the phone. They do have a good reputation.

Thanks, Bill.

I guess they're still in the Mom/Pop stage of business development. Probably got their orders way ahead of their inventory. Still, I would have appreciated notice to that effect.

I have ordered their bullets, and found their service to be fast and reliable. Usually, an order of 1000 bullets arrives in two weeks or so. My guess is that with all the new big bore handguns so popular they are backlogged. They are also supplying Cabella's and some other wholesale outfits, so when business is good, time is short.

With today only being April 3, a little over a week after you placed the order, I'd give them a little more time to respond or receive shipment. I may have read this wrong, though.

That was a fair sized order, a lot of weight, they may have used a slower mailing rate to save you money. Give them a little more time. I bet they will come through for you.

They supply some other commercial outfits, notably Federal in their 'CastCore' line of specialty ammo (as reported in the gun press); it is entirely possible that they have something else taking priority in the short term.

I wouldn't give up yet. A quality product is always worth the wait.....

Thank you all for your replies.

What bothered me was that I received my order only a few days after placing the first time. Then a week goes by with no response from e-mail....

I travel quite a bit for my company, so time at the range is precious. I'd hoped to have some stuff loaded for this Friday afternoon, but if it doesn't arrive in time for that, I'll have to reschedule.

Since no one spoke poorly of CBT, I'll take a chill pill and relax.

Thanks again,

Mark
