Erick,
I would wager to say that the vertical stringing you describe with your .44 mag are user induced variables. Whether sight acquisition, or slight variations in hold. The fact that the group exhibited a perfectly in-line 3" string would tell me, if I shot the group, that I had arrived at the right load, and simply needed to work on my shooting form a little.
Sounds like you have a great load in the works. By-the-way, in all our years of selling that .44-325gWLNGC bullet, 21.0g H110/WLPP has proven to be THE consistent accuracy load with the bullet, that I can recommend to just about anyone, and the performance obtained is rarely improved upon, even with the most dedicated load development.
Sounds like you hit the sweet-spot!
Keep us posted.
God Bless,
