9.3x62mm VARGET loads

Anyone have them? I checked Loadswap, but no joy. I have plenty of Varget, and I've heard that it shoots very well with this cartridge. I am working up loads with Lapua brass, CCI BR-2 primers, Hornady Interlock 286gr and Barnes TSX 250 gr bullets. Not terribly concerned with super high velocity, would be much more satisfied with MOA results. Oh, and the rifle is a CZ 550 FS. Thanks for any suggestions, and if you don't want to publish your data for the masses due to high pressure concerns, max loads, feel free to PM me. Thanks in advance.

Check out Hodgon's site, they have several loads using Varget. The closest to yours is: Starting- 286gr Nosler Partition with 55gr Varget for 2242 fps. Max- Same bullet, 59gr compressed for 2350 fps.

Good luck.

DCCAM94,
These loads are from Australia, where Varget (ADI 2208) is manufactured.
#250gr-258gr projectile, Varget 60gr (max).
#270gr projectile, Varget 59gr (max).
#286gr projectile, Varget 59gr (max).
#293gr projectile, Varget 57gr (max).

Hope this helps you out.

Cheers.
MagnumManiac.

Thanks for both of these. I saw Hodgdon's site after I put up the post. Barnes also has some data, but not with Varget. Their loads cross-matched with Hodgdon's make it look like they are pushing the limit on pressure, though. I may work up the Hodgdon's (same as what you've provided, Maniac, and see what my cases tell me. Thanks again.

If Varget doesn't work out for you give R-15 or Ramshot BigGame a try. I load 286gr Partition/ 65gr of BigGame with outstanding accuracy in my CZ 550 American.

Great groups. I actually have some R-15. I may have to load a few to check it out. I only chose Varget because I also reload for .308 and 7mm-08, and it seems to give the best results for those calibers out of my BLR (.308) and T/C handgun (7mm-08) across the board. Thanks!
