Psychiatrist's diagnosis

Registered Users do not see the above ad.

Just got a call from the shrink I visited the other day. He said I was a combination of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder, and ADD, attention deficit disorder. Which means that I must have everything perfect, but only for a few minutes.

If a person with a "multiple personality disorder" threatens sucide, would it be handled as a hostage situation?

All I can say is that if you tell me I'm not myself, I'll reply, "So why tell me?"

I like your sig line, Archie. My favorite passage in the Bible is "T'would be easier for the camel to pass through the Eye of the Needle than for the rich man to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven." That is where most stop. The best part comes next: "But with God, all things are possible." I remind myself of that fairly frequently. I know I'm never really alone...

Nevada Shooter...

Thanks for the greeting and the reminder about "... all things are possible with God."

I cannot begin to tell how many time God has pulled a rabbit out of my hat.

In fact, I've even had things go completely haywire, resulting in abject failure - but the result wasn't nearly as tragic as I projected it would be. Sometimes our plans have to fail for God's plans to work.

That sounds cockeyed to most people, but it is true nonetheless.

Most people do not know what "The Eye of the Needle" refers to. It was the pedestrian gate at the base of the towers supporting the main gate. The main gate would be closed at curfew but stragglers could still enter though the Needle's Eye but without their wagons, etc.

And another reading says that the greek word for camel, kamelos, has the same pronounciation as the word for rope, kamilos. But the point remains: it is still impossible.

A guy goes to a psychiatrist and gets diagnosed as a kleptomaniac.

He says, "Gee Doc, is there anything I can take for it?"
