We were hog hunting one night there were three of us. I have already took my share of pigs, so was gonna let one of my other two buddies get one. One was using a savage 308 and the other was using my browning a bolt 06. I was carrying my savage 325 wsm. Well I took me a little nap inside the front seat of my truck they were in the back. Next thing I know I was having a dream of a car comming strait at me and woke up real fast, well Austin was pointing the light in the mirror saying lets go well I turn I seen this mountain of a pig about 50 yards off I whispered Austin a pig right there. Well (he's not very experienced might I add) pointed the light and said where!?! No one had a gun up. So I grabbed the 325 from the drivers side and went to point it out the window and bam Austin only rolled the window half way Down. So I finally get out the window and I got a bead on it and squeezed the trigger... Safety.... Dang and keep in mind it's almost pitch black out I have a keen eye for spotting them at night. Any was I took the light from Austin and about 2 hours later a smaller pig came out and I told Austin to get ready. I shined the light and I said Austin shoot and bam before I got the words outta my mouth. Well before the hunt he persisted he could shoot with his left and righ hand I said ok I didn't know any better. But when he heard shoot he just randomly shot into the woods in that direction. Well we watched two hogs run off in the light and about 6 seconds later Austin is screaming my eye! I can't see! Well i didn't think it was that bad so I shined the light at him. And my stomach dropped. Blood was pouring off his face. We got him cleaned up and it just cut him pretty bad. He had almost a perfect ring around his eye and a horrible shiner the next day. It took him a day to remember everything and he missed the hog of course.
