Rossi 30-30

Has anyone seen or shot the new Rossi lever action 30-30? In the American Rifleman, its looks just like a Marlin 30-30.

Except, the bottom metal's quite a bit beefier, forward of the lever pivot, it's NOT made in the U.S.A., and it costs more than a Marlin 336.

Count me out, thanks.

American rifle buyers have NEVER in history had so many 30-30 rifles to choose from!

Rossi is a Brazilian company. Perhaps this new lever carbine is intended for sales within continent of South America. Argentina has red stag, fallow, and boar.

Browning is the only imported lever rifle that attracts me.

I wish some company would produce a .30-30 bolt action rifle with open sights.

You could get a 30/30 Encore or G2 Contender with fiber-optic sights or a good peep. I've never been fond of rimmed cartridges in a bolt-action.

30-30 V 308 Win.

Who'd want a 30-30 bolt action rifle when for the same price you can buy a 308 Win ! for the times when that animal is a little larger and further away than first thought , sure there's more kick but that's half the fun .
