Anyone know the approximate year that wing-nut safety first appeared on the Rossi and Hartford levers? I'm ready to sell a couple that I acquired just before that silly safety feature was added. Might be a decent selling point. Also I read that EMF was bought by Taurus and when the current Hartford rifles and carbines are gone there won't be any more, another good selling point if true. The EMF site indeed lists several models, along with their most recent retail prices, as no longer available. Thanks.

It will DEFINITELY be a selling point. Plenty of folks out there (like me) that keep their eyes open for a pre-safety example, but unfortunately I cannot name the year they started adding the wart.
