I would like to put a 26" barrel on my Winchester model 94 (top eject), but can't find a source for them. I don't care if it is round or octagonal. Is this available or will I have to have it made?

You might try www.gunpartscorp.com I believe they get takeoffs from time to time. Maybe even new ones.
Also, drop Brownells a line. They may be able to put you on the right trail.

There's a lot involved in changing barrel length and style (round to octagonal) other than just changing the barrel. It'll be more cost effective to just buy a longer barreled 94. Back when I contemplated doing this, I ran across a nice Canadian Centennial 94 rifle and bought it instead. This is a 26" Octagon barreled 94, they made a lot of em so they're not expensive and make great shooters. Very accurate too. Mine will do 4" groups at 200 yards with the original sights.
